Hurricane & Storm Status Information This page will be updated often, please bookmark this page. *** Hurricane Jeanne *** Airports:

All airports are operating as normal. Bayahibe:

The Association of Hotels of Bayahibe reports that area hotels are operating normally. The association says they suffered only minor damages to landscaping that have already been repaired. Those traveling to Bayahibe, however, will be arriving via Punta Cana International Airport. While La Romana International Airport is operating normally, the Chavon River is impeding land travel. Central Romana and the Ministry of Public Works are at present installing a temporary bridge crossing after the usual bridge that spans the Chavon River was severely damaged by the large amount of water caused by the storm. Some reports say the bridge will be in place in as few as two days to resume traffic to this area. The association says that telecommunication systems are operating normally, and the hurricane did not affect the water or power systems in the area. Juan Dolio and Boca Chica:
