    Hallo Zusammen!

    HKTB "DUK LING" JUNK RIDE

Duk Ling is a privately owned authentic Chinese junk. It was built in Macau 50 years and used as a fishing boat until a change of ownership in 1985 following which three years were spent restoring the junk to its original classic design. Duk Ling is now owned and operated by the China Pub Company Limited.

The Duk Ling is available for private and professional charters and Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) charter the junk on two days a week and offer one hour sailings to bona fide visitors to Hong Kong for a fee of HK$50 per person (prior to July 2008 HKTB had provided these rides free). Demand for these rides is high and with a limit of 30 passengers per ride it is necessary to register in advance (sight of passport is usually requested) at the HKTB Visitor Information and Services Centres Star Ferry Concourse Tsim Sha Tsui and Causeway Bay MTR Station.

    The rides operate on Thursdays and Saturdays from Kowloon Public Pier, Tsim Sha Tsui (assemble under the upper deck of Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade outside the Cultural Centre close to the Star Ferry Pier) and from Central Pier 9 next to the Star Ferry Piers on Hong Kong Island at the following times;

From Kowloon Public Pier - Thursday 2pm and 4pm, Saturday 10am and noon

    *lol*
