Wer hat positive oder negative Erfahrungen mit Taipan Reisen ( China, Tibet, Nepal) gemacht!

just returned from this trip ( 10.-26.9.18 ) and it was chaotic to say the least. beijing, xian, lhasa, dingli, jilong, kathmandu was the route.

travel guides overwhelmed with work - 27 people about 50% too much to handle and had no command of good german skills. group was split over travel days and train rides around the country ( Bjs-Xin - Xin-Lhasa ) we had one of our single woman in a compartment with 3 chinese guys??? how bad is that? the sights were nice if you had time to relax, but tour guides made sure they confused the whole itinerary. tour guides made the beggar's trip for tips and started collection on day one. hotels were mediocre but acceptable if one like us has lived in these countries for many years. worst was trip jilong ( china side of nepal border ) to kathmandu. 13!!! hours bus ride, over swamps, boulders, flood roads, slip sliding squashy underground, cliffs close to break off into rivers....the bus driver was the hero..we thought this was our last day.

since taipan does this tour 3 times a year one may wonder if one of their "specialists" tried this tour at all.

would never recommend this taipan and so i said to their representative when asked...a night mare to put through to such pain and agony with chinese tour guides who didn't know their job, neither language or how to handle 27 people....that's Taipans fault as it was planned for 20!
