Hallo Claudia,
Keine separate Duschkabine.
" Hi, This will be our first visit to the Barcelo, and we are wondering about the bathrooms,I managed to find some photos but none concerning details. Does the Colonial have a separate shower or is it in the bathtub? What were your impressions of the bathrooms? We have stayed at other resorts in the Mayan Riv and some had quite impressive washrooms. Thanks for your help!"
"The shower is separate from the tub. The tub does also have a shower spray head you can use in the tub area. The shower is right next to the tub. The shower has a large rain shower head. Bathrooms are very nice and modern ..."
"Jerry, are you referring to a junior suite? We've been to Colonial twice and there was no separate shower. It was right in the tub. Those were standard rooms so I am assuming only the Jr. suites have the separate shower stall."
"Yes,thats what I am wondering,we have booked a "prestige class","deluxe room" thru Transat,I cant seem to nail down what we will recieve. We prefer a separate shower, with this further info.,what will the bathroom be like? thanks for my silly questions. Oh yeah,we are booked in the Colonial"
"Are there rainhead shower fixtures in all levels of Colonial/Tropical rooms? We had one in our Beach section room last year and really loved it. We hope our room in C/T has one when we stay in February."
" Only in the Junior Suites, I'm thinking. All the standard rooms have the shower in the tub and the junior suites have the newer "rain shower" heads.
"Prestige Class" is just what Transat Holidays call their package at Colonial. There is a separate check-in/check-out but everything else is pretty much what everyone else gets.
This topic of "Prestige Class" (not to be confused with Club Premium which is different) has been discussed many times here and if you do a search, you'll find more threads on it than you care to read."
"I've stayed in both the jr suites and a regular room at the Colonial. What you have booked with Transat is a regular room. As for the bathroom you will have a tub with a shower in the tub in the regular room. The rain shower beside the tub is only in the jr. suites."
"They may be a rain showerhead but still in the tub in regular rooms. In the jr suites there is a shower head in the tub as well as an extra rain shower outside of the tub."
Jr. Suites :
In Tropical/Colonial, there are 100 Jr. Suites. They are the front rooms of every building, facing the pools. The Jr. Suite is slightly larger than a standard room, has a separate rain shower head in the bathroom (in addition to the bathtub and shower), a second closet and a small foyer with console table.
