After leaving the flight at Düsseldorf airport, I noticed that the anchoring of the four wheels of my suitcase was damaged. I sent the company all the information about the damage using the form on the Ajet website. However, Ajet refused to compensate me financially on the grounds that I should have contacted the “Lost and Found Office” at the airport beforehand to obtain a “Damaged Baggage Report”.
I find it outrageous to ask customers to spend extra time at the airport after a delayed flight. Ajet also did not answer my question as to where the said office is located in the arrivals area. Just pointing out the office but not being able to name its location shows the utmost unprofessionalism.
Airlines are responsible for ensuring that baggage is transported properly and returned undamaged. If appropriate proof is provided, the damage must be settled financially. For me, Ajet is not a reputable company that takes the interests of its customers seriously!
